Production Worker - Longmont, CO

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs work in accordance with established safety polices and procedures
• Complies with all work rules and standards set forth in each production area
• Displays appropriate work ethics in the workplace which provides a positive influence on all workers and represents our client in a positive manner
• Refers to work instructions appropriate for each task before commencing work
• Maintains good housekeeping and clean work area
• Assures that all work assigned is preformed in accordance with the instructions and requirements

Qualifications

• Must posses an education or experience level that permits to the employee to effectively communicate and perform duties, assignments and responsibilities of the job.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents relating to the job, function or assignment
• The ability to make decisions when identifying in-process problems and the ability to deal with a variety of job assignments

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties required at this facility, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, lift, and use there hands frequently
• The employee must be able to lift 5 pounds to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a work shift
• The employee must be able to bend over and reach with hands and arms repeatedly throughout a work shift

Workplace Description

• This position is working in an environment producing consumer-grade fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. As might be expected, work in this facility is heavily seasonal, with the spring season being heaviest, beginning in December and January, and peaking in June. Processes would be described as blending, mixing and packaging consumer products.

• The fertilizer operation consists of mechanically mixing raw materials into blended batches of consumer grade fertilizer. The finished product is conveyed by elevators to overhead bins over the bagging lines where the product is dispensed into the filling stations along the bagging lines, producing products from 3 pounds to 50 pounds.
