The CAD Operator/Drafter is responsible for drafting drawings from engineering designs/sketches and providing prints for other departments as necessary as they relate to customer proposals & production. They will manage documents through various electronic systems to maintain document control.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Drafts engineering drawings - Primarily 2D work.
Manages prints, as needed, for various departments to satisfy the needs of both the customer and operations.Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
This position requires an Associate’s degree with emphasis in drafting/mechanical design or equivalent experience. Must have a minimum of three Years AutoCAD background which could be, in part, based on college coursework. Previous experience in a plastics and/or manufacturing environment is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization effectively in English both written and verbal
Must have the ability to the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Must have a high level of attention to detail
Must have intermediate computer experience using Microsoft Office and AutoCad software
Ability to work in a team environment.
Strong mathematical skills
Ability to effectively communicate with team members and Supervisor
This position is located in the administrative offices of a manufacturing facility which requires prolonged sitting, standing, and walking. Requires manual dexterity for typing and considerable time at a computer. This position will spend about 5% of their time on the production floor where heavy machinery is present and loud sounds exist.
