Lead Plant Operator Job Description

Job Duties:                                                                                                         

·         Daily task, work assignments, duties, etc. - as assigned by Lead or Plant Manager               

·         Daily operations of the equipment and machinery in order to meet production goals        

·         Able & willing to operate any and all machines as per assignments                                                           

·         Able & willing to lift, walk, crawl, push, pull, bend, shovel and clean                                                         

·         Able & willing to utilize proper PPE (glasses, gloves, shoes, etc.) working with broken glass            

·         Participate in the regular maintenance and cleaning of the production equipment                            

·         World Class Operations - development and sustainability                                                                              

·         Housekeeping:  Keeping the plant "tour ready" at all times                                                                           

·         Daily cleaning and sweeping of the plant and related equipment                                               

·         Daily cleaning of the outside areas around the plant                                                        

·         Routine cleaning & inspections of the equipment, duct works, etc                                                             

·         Equipment Condition & Performance - maintain a "like new" condition                   

Qualifications:                                                                                                                                  ·         Great mindset with positive attitude and high level of integrity and values                            

·         Strong belief in a Safety culture & a willingness to demonstrate and drive for improvements and accountability                                                                                                          

·         Willing to work flexible hours, schedules, jobs and task                                                                                  

·         Able to work in a fast-paced environment                                                                                                           

·         Able to work in dusty and dirty environment                                                                                                      

·         Ability to stand, sit, lift, bend, walk, and carry objects of 50lbs on a regular basis                                 

·         Able to work closely with people and attitudes in a wide variety of culture            

·         Able to lead, teach and giude a crew of 4-6 operators                              

·         Able to learn, comprehend, and train others to operate the following equipment:                             

o   Front Loader                                                                     

o   Skid Steer                                                                           

o   Fork Lift                                                                               

o   Scissor Lift
