One of the Nation’s leading Stair & Rail Manufacturers is seeking a full time Estimator with experience in steel.
A successful candidate will have the following skills:
- Analytical, technical thought process
- Direct communication style
- Responsive to some disruption, change, and time pressure
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans
- A resourceful approach to accomplishing their work
- Ability to handle multiple projects
- Enjoys variety in their work day
- Good keyboard skills
- Basic knowledge of various software systems (Experience with Bluebeam, Fabtrol, or Fabsuite is a plus.)
An Estimator will have the following responsibilities and duties:
- Navigating contract drawings
- Submitting bids for jobs and developing associated revenue and targeted gross margin from such jobs, including change orders.
- Overseeing the progress of each job from receipt of bid request to bid completion.
- Provides customers a bid or estimate in a timely manner
- Accurately bids or estimates the costs for each job
- Follows up on all bids and market conditions with the quality of our estimates
- Upon bid acceptance, ensures the signed contract is consistent with the bid specifications and scope of work
