PositionSummary:
Recycling facility locatedin the Denver metroplex is seeking a full time Maintenance Manager. This position is responsible for: Maintaining the recycling facility,equipment, and personnel by ensuring steady operation of machinery andmechanical equipment. In orderto be successful in this position, team work and collaboration with PlantManager, Production Supervisor, operations staff, and outside contractors is required.
The Maintenance Manager will performrepairs and maintenance activities on equipment to maximize safe and productiveoperations. Typical repairs include but are not limited to: routine maintenanceand repair of recycling equipment (sorting screens, optical sorters, magnets,eddy currents, etc.), electrical systems, air compressors, dustcollectors/baghouses and conveyor systems.
PrincipalResponsibilities:
· Participates, supports, and follows all safety rules,programs, and regulations
· Designs, executes, and operates a preventativemaintenance program for all machinery and equipment in the facility by utilizinga computerized maintenance management system
· Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems by using meters,charts, diagnostic software, technical manuals, manufacturer's instructions, engineeringspecifications and “common sense”troubleshooting techniques
· Repairs or replaces parts as directed by a work ordersystem. Completes field service reports in a work order system
· Removesand replaces defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, handand power tools
· Overhauls or replaces machine components and replace wornitems
· Controls downtime by communicating with supervisor and/orequipment operators for clarification of problems. May discuss preventivetechniques with equipment users to minimize future repairs
· Controlsdowntime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance
· Independently troubleshoots and maintains complex electro-mechanicalequipment
· Performs preventative maintenance according to standardschedules
· Fabricatesrepair parts by necessary means and/or utilizing proper equipment
· Maintains, repair and install plumbing, electrical, HVAC,and positive/negative pressure systems
· Installs and sets up new equipment and communicates withvendors regarding maintenance schedules
· Reads, troubleshoots and programs simple PLC instructionsto enhance plant monitoring and performance as requested by operations staff orto support maintenance objectives.
· Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
PreferredQualifications:
· Mechanical or Electrical trade school certificate.
· PLC Programming experience
· CMMS experience
· Minimum of 3 years of experience with buildingmaintenance, HVAC and positive/negative pressure systems.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience working on equipment ina manufacturing or distribution environment.
· Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience.
· Experience with operations of front-end loader and skidsteer/forklift.
MinimumQualifications:
· High school diploma or G.E.D.
· Minimum of 3 year of equipment maintenance and repairexperience.
· Valid driver’s license
· Computer skills: Excel and Word
· Strong communication skills including: written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
