Lead Inventory Attendant - Sugarland, TX
This function serves as on-site labor in the logistics area of the
storeroom; including receiving, stocking, issuing, inventory accuracy, cycle
counting, client interface, and computer transaction entry. The focus of
this position is to lead a team of Attendants in receiving stock, issue,
locating and verifying inventory utilizing our proprietary software system.
- Follow all site
Safety and Security Procedures; perform all assignments and tasks in a
safe manner.
- Report any
unsafe or potentially unsafe working conditions to management immediately.
- Ensure
compliance with established internal control procedures
- Receive
purchased material and checking PO against packing slip for accuracy;
enter receiving and inventory information into the Storeroom On-Site®
(SOS) system.
- Put material
away after receipt.
- Issue returns
for unused material per SOP guidelines
- Return material
to vendor or shipping parts out for repair, following SOP guidelines.
- Perform cycle
counts and reporting stock balance discrepancies to Manager for
resolution.
- Takes inventory
to identify reorder needs for supervisor approval.
- Issue materials
to client as required.
- Maintain close
communication with supervisor regarding all customer and staff issues and
concerns.
- Provide
professional customer service to internal and external customers, with the
goal of reporting issues in a timely manner to escalate items up to the
appropriate management channels.
- Delegate tasks
among group of Attendants and follow through on assignments to check for
completion.
- Set schedules
for Attendant staff
- Expedite and/or
follow up on purchase orders as needed.
- Locate stock and
delivers items to their destination outside of storeroom upon request.
- Clean and
organize storeroom as directed, including sweeping, scraping, etc.
- Special projects
assignments
- May perform
limited buying responsibilities in absence of Buyer. May assist Buyer or
Site Manager with buying function as directed
EDUCATION:
- High School
Diploma
- Basic math
skills
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Basic knowledge
in parts identification.
- Minimum 2 years’
experience working in inventory management or similar field.
- Windows
Operating System computer experience and demonstrated proficiency in the
use of an inventory management/receiving system.
- Strong
people and customer service skills.
