Staff Accountant - Keenesburg, CO

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

·         Work with Management and staff to properly record Vendor refunds, Prepaids, Assets, Insurance Payables

·         Enter Accounts Payable invoices as needed

·         Know Sales Tax reporting and filing process as backup

·         Reconcile Vendor Statements

·         New Credit Application requests

·         Perform ongoing data entry audits – review for correct expense account, job cost, entity, accrual, prepaid or asset allocation

·         Audit key General Ledger accounts / Job Cost Centers for accuracy

o   Record necessary ledger entries for corrections, accruals, prepaids etc.

o   Work with staff to develop systems and eliminate errors moving forward

·         Reconcile Balance Sheet General Ledger accounts / Job Cost Centers for accuracy

·         Assist with Bank Reconciliations as needed

·         Assist with Asset Recording as needed

·         Assist Controller / Assistant Controller with month-end job cost research, adjustments, journal entries.

·         Ability to complete payroll for 200+ employees. Work within payroll team and stand alone.  

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

·         CPA

·         Minimum of three years’ experience in the construction or manufacturing industry

·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel (V-Look-up/pivot tables) and Microsoft Office Query

·         Detail oriented

·         Multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
