Coffee Production -2nd Shift [Archived] - Thornton, CO

Job Description:

• Operates coffee packaging machinery meeting all productivity, quality, and accuracy standards established.
• Labels empty coffee bags scheduled for production.
• Packages coffee using the scale/bagging machine.
• Grinds coffee as needed, according to production schedules.
• Seals and tapes the packaged coffees, using the vacuum pack machine.
• Boxes and cartons finished coffee bags or tea boxes per standard operating procedures.
• Operates all basic material handling and maintenance equipment adhering to company safety guidelines (i.e., ladders, pallet jacks, two-wheel dollies, four-wheeled carts, tape guns, box knives)
• Unloads, loads, and stocks finished product on pallets, shelves and floor racks.
• Cleans entire production area (wipe down, mop, and sweep) on a daily basis. Logs in cleaning on daily cleaning checklist.
• Performs all related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Follows Good Manufacturing Practices guidelines and OSHA Safety standards at all times, such as periodically cleaning areas, using equipment with proper care and caution, etc.)
• Fluent in English – Team Leader does not have ability to speak Spanish

·         Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted

·         Stand/mobility for 10-12 hours

·         Flexibility to work overtime based on business needs

·         Ability to bend, stoop, twist, etc.

·         Minimal machine operating may be required

·         Attention to detail

·         Ensure no buttons, jewelry, perfume, etc.
