Description: This
position is responsible for the supervision and oversight of three production
departments and warehouse. Responsibilities include enforcing safety
regulations, ensuring adherence to defined processes and procedures and driving
a continual improvement workforce.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge:
§ Administration and Management – Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in procurement, planning, resource allocation, leadership and production methods.
§ Mechanical – Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
§ Mathematics – Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and statistics.

Functions:
- Ability to frequently lift up to 35 lbs and occasionally lift up to 55 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Frequent use of hands, manual dexterity, multilimb coordination and ability
to work with hands above head as necessary.
- Ability to see details at a close range.
Work Conditions:
The environment is typical of many indoor manufacturing facilities. The noise
generated within the facility is moderate and poses no risk to employee
health. Employees frequently work on or
around moving and heated equipment. Work hours are defined by assigned shift and
additional time for project meetings and management discussions is to be
expected.
Equipment
Used:
Employees frequently use powered tools, hand tools, lathes and saws. Employees occasionally use oxy-acetylene
welders/torches, MIG welders, grinding wheels and electrical testing equipment.
Required
Education and Experience:
Minimum of 5 years prior experience in a manufacturing environment and 2 years
in a supervisory position.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing required and experience with six sigma a
plus.
