Purchasing Clerk
Join our team- Colorado Lighting is looking for a
positive, collaborative, highly engaging purchase clerk.
Responsibilities
- Develop profitable purchasing strategies
- Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers
- Prepare and implement effective
negotiation tactics
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain
quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
- Review supplies to ensure quality
- Monitor stock levels and general inventory for all
warehouses
- Prepare and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying
expenditures etc.)
- Keep updated records
- Research market trends - Material Research/pricing
- Ordering Materials/POs, Quotes made into jobs
- Material only calls/walk ins
- Material quotes
- Recycle counts/tickets
- Work with project manager, sales and service teams
for order status
- Company-wide warranty negotiation, submittal,
tracking & reporting
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience
as a purchasing agent or relevant role
- Demonstrable
experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions
- Budget management
experience
- Technical purchasing
preferred
- Knowledge of market
research, data analysis and purchasing best practices
- Working knowledge of
MS Office and purchasing software Sage 100 Contractor
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative,
pro-active and accountable in role
- A strong analytical
mindset
Supply minimum of 3 business references. $ 40,000
