Purchasing Clerk

Join our team- Colorado Lighting is looking for a positive, collaborative, highly engaging purchase clerk. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop profitable purchasing strategies
  • Assess supplier profiles and analyze offers
  • Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
  • Review supplies to ensure quality
  • Monitor stock levels and general inventory for all warehouses
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures etc.)
  • Keep updated records
  • Research market trends -  Material Research/pricing                                                                                       
  • Ordering Materials/POs, Quotes made into jobs                                                                                                
  • Material only calls/walk ins                                                                                                                                         
  • Material quotes                                                                               
  • Recycle counts/tickets                                                                                                                                  
  • Work with project manager, sales and service teams for order status
  • Company-wide warranty negotiation, submittal, tracking & reporting                                                                                                                                                                                                      

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience as a purchasing agent or relevant role
  • Demonstrable experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions
  • Budget management experience
  • Technical purchasing preferred
  • Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and purchasing software Sage 100 Contractor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative, pro-active and accountable in role
  • A strong analytical mindset

 

 

Supply minimum of 3 business references.   $  40,000 Salary with benefits.
