General Summary

Directly coordinate general maintenance services for the Denver facility. Assist Maintenance Manager and Lead Technician with maintenance & project coordination. Evaluate, recommend and monitor contract service providers to ensure satisfactory completion of assigned tasks. Coordinate repairs on equipment with vendors, including spare parts sourcing and ordering. Ensures regulatory compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), corporate policies and procedures. Administration of SAP maintenance management module. Utilize SAP maintenance data to monitor maintenancedepartmentperformanceandidentifyimprovementopportunities.

Essential Duties

  • Proactively coordinates with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Engineering, Technical Services and contractors to provide direction and assistance to ensure timely completion of maintenance and project related activities.
  • Creates project placeholders in SAP for upcoming maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate and oversee external vendor activities for on-site maintenance as needed.
  • Provides periodic maintenance workload and schedule reports.
  • Generate monthly maintenance metric reports from SAP to track department performance (resource utilization, equipment reliability and effectiveness of preventive maintenance) and identify improvement opportunities. Present performance trends to a cross function audience.
  • Enters data, plans, and oversees the Preventative Maintenance (PM) Module in SAP as it relates to PM, work, and calibration orders that are utilized to track all equipment in the facility.
  • Maintains records of all critical equipment calibration, PM and work order activities in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations.
  • Adds equipment, updates status of equipment, and supports decommissioning activities.
  • Reviews all calibration and work order documentation for accuracy and completion. Initiates deviations for out of tolerance and assists with investigations as needed.
  • Adds, updates, and removes vendors from SAP per company procedures.
  • Communicates with external vendors for price estimates and utilizes SAP to prepare and execute purchase requisitions for materials and components in support of maintenance inventory needs.
  • Facilitates resolution of invoice discrepancies with vendor, department or accounting department.
  • Adherence of maintenance budget.
  • Participates or facilitates review and creation of SOP's as needed.
  • Schedule and coordinate maintenance training activities and acquire materials as needed. 
  • Assist with reviewing and implementing service agreements and contracts.
  • Facilitate observation process to all departments.
  • Aid in the initiation, execution and completion of change controls and related tasks.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or trade school preferred

A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a controlled environment facility (pharmaceutical, biotech, food/beverage manufacturer or electronics) and 5 years maintenance experience.  Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.  Hands on facilities/industrial equipment maintenance repair and SAP experience is strongly preferred. 

Certifications / Licenses

Preferred: CMRP (Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional); Maintenance Reliability; Predictive maintenance; Industrial Safety
