Sales Engineer - 1st Shift - Plymouth, MN

Corporate Management Groups iscurrently hiring for a Sales Engineer position at our Plymouth, MN location.

Shift:1st shift / Monday – Thursday 6:30am-3:30pm and Friday’s 6:30am-12:30pm

Pay: $17.00 – $23.00DOE

Description: We are a precision sheet metalfabrication and coating company looking for an experienced, confident andhigh-energy customer service professional to join our team.  Providing quality products and top-notchservice has resulted in a well-established customer base. The right candidate shouldbe excited to learn our customers’ needs, requirements and expectations; andstrive to exceed these expectations every day.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Point of Contact for customers:including orders, expedites, inquiries, RFQs and concerns

·        Review weekly customer MRP releases,forecasts, etc.  Update affected salesorders as required

·        Field questions with customers,vendors and internal departments

·        Review pricing and costing ofexisting part numbers

·        Review customer prints forrequirements and/or changes

·        Perform additional customer serviceduties as required:

-         Customer visits

-         Process work orders

-         Assist in archiving files

-         Other duties

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand and obey all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Microsoft Office Proficient.
  • Safety Protocol
    • Stop any observed unsafe acts, and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
    • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
    • Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications:

Education Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment or appropriate vocational training

Experience Required:

  • Proficient in MS Office and other basic computer skills
  • Estimating experience, a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organizational ability
  • Ability to work independently and highly motivated
  • Problem solving skills
  • Must work well under pressure, ability to multi-task

  • Quality Management System
  • Safety

 

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent sitting and standing
  • Some light-to-moderate lifting may be required
