Corporate Management Groups iscurrently hiring for a Service Technician position at our Inver Grove Heights, MN location.

Shift:1st shift / Monday – Friday / 9AM - 5:30PM with some OT (not unusual)

Pay: $15.00

Job Summary: A Service Technician will respondto service calls as promptly and as efficiently as possible and in a qualitymanner. Visually inspect machines and correct any deficiencies. The Service Technician will work on coin opwashers and dryers in apartment laundries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.
  • Review all service tickets for routes assigned.
  • Ensure all necessary service van inventory is stocked and accounted for.
  • Maintain petty cash to cover all refunds and unanticipated developments.
  • Complete work order and service ticket for each machine worked on and turned into receipt box each day.
  • Turn in all used parts and parts replenishment list to the parts department for replacement after each shift.
  • All service keys and lock books are to be deposited in designated area when not in use and will not be left in vehicles or taken home (unless in a remote area).
  • Maintain Service Van in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
  • Punctuality - Daily attendance is mandatory, which includes being on time and present unless otherwise approved in advance. Stay until designated leave time.
  • Appearance – be clean and well-groomed. Required to wear client’s uniforms which include: pants/shorts, belt, shirt, socks and appropriate footwear. 
  • All other duties as assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Safety Protocol
    • Stop any observed unsafe acts, and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
    • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
    • Support safety policies and programs.

To perform this jobsuccessfully, an individual must have basic mechanical, problem solving, andoral and written communication skills.  Atechnician must have the discipline to work with little supervision and abilityto handle several projects simultaneously. Computer experience including theuse of e-mail, internet, ability to navigate a parts lookup software packageand general ability to read diagrams. The individual must be able to lift machines, with a dolly, weight of40-70 pounds and be able to stand/sit for most of an eight-hour shift.  Position requires frequent lifting, walking,bending, twisting, reaching, squatting, and driving.

Education Required:

·        Graduation from High School isrequired.

Experience Required:

·        1 year of field experience in thelaundry business, or previous electrical, mechanical experience/education preferred.

Applicants must either have or be willing to obtain a General DOT card.

Applicants must be willing to undergo an MVR, criminal background check, e-verify, DOT drug test and credit check.
