DUTIES:
• Supports production by trouble shooting electrical equipment
and making the necessary repairs or improvements to maintain machine
efficiency.
• Follows and familiar with industry safety standards.
• Candidates must have a good balance of both electrical and mechanical skills-PLC and controls troubleshooting included.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,
ABILITIES & BEHAVIORIAL COMPETENCIES:
Electrical- Includes motor control centers, relays, circuit breakers, AC
Motors, 3 phase, VF drives, Servo controllers, pulling conduit and wiring
practices. Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics. Must be
able to analyze test electrical circuits and equipment and controls. Familiar
with safety circuits and components.
PLC Troubleshooting- Ability to analyze machine behaviors, diagnose probable causes and systematically eliminate multiple variables until the problem is solved.
Other- Includes troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety of mechanical components such as pumps, conveyors, motors, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, gears, etc. Use of power tools and equipment associated with repair and construction of automated industrial machinery.
EDUCATION: Journeyman, Technical Degree or equivalent.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is generally confined to a plant environment.
