Summary
The Cell Flow Coordinator is responsible for material movement within a group of cells. This position locates the necessary materials for required orders and ensures they are distributed to the appropriate area.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Coordinates with Group Leads and each individual cell for which they are assigned to stage incoming material for jobs and in-process material for jobs or production runs.
· Locates materials on shelves and makes sure production areas are fully stocked; requires ensuring each department has the products they need to fulfill each order and can process orders quickly.
· Communicates with coworkers to restock shelves.
· Coordinates with the Value Stream Supervisor and Customer Service to obtain work order status.
· Separates work order documents to their corresponding cell to ensure material is supplied for completing finished goods.
· Takes verbal and written instructions from the Value Stream Supervisor as needed to accomplish tasks at hand.
· Completes paperwork for shipping product occasionally.
· Keeps stocking area clean and neat.
· May require driving company vehicle to take and pick up material.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
This position requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. This is an entry-level position that should have 0-1 year previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Must have basic knowledge of blueprints and work instructions
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization both written and verbal.
· Must have basic math skills to read and process work instructions
· Must have knowledge of materials and material requirements as they relate to work orders
· Must have a high level of attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
· Must have excellent problem solving skills
· Should have basic knowledge of nonconforming material procedure
· Must be able to reconcile material requirements
· Should have an understanding of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
· Ability to work in a team environment.
This position is located in a manufacturing facility which requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, squatting, twisting, bending, and reaching throughout an entire shift. Must be able to move and handle varying sized products in bags and/or boxes in a dirty, dusty and noisy environment. Requires lifting up to 25 lbs. Requires working with measuring and cutting tools.
· Safety Glasses to be worn at all times when on the production floor
· Must wear appropriate PPE for all work activities performed; varies based work
