Shift Supervisor - Erie, CO

SUMMARY: 

Supervises shift employees including machine operators and setup technicians, quality, production quantities, attendance and maintaining an overall team. Follow production schedules as determined by Management. Work with Engineering and Quality to administer and control quality per approved documentation in accordance with ISO standards. Works as a team with the shift setup technician(s) and may be required to complete machine setups, part processing and/or run production machines. This position requires a high degree of peripheral vision for observations of multiple operations. Works under little or no supervision.

Education/Experience: High school diploma, 2 years’ experience in supervisory position required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage both skilled and unskilled labor, verifying quality and allocate training time to improve employees' skill sets, working with Human Resources, complete all necessary paperwork per company procedures with respect to employees.
• Responsible for maintaining production paperwork per Manufacturing Plan requirements. Working with shift employees to verify their understanding and daily completion of requirements.
• Responsible for the quality and rejects for all machine operators and secondary personnel on their shift.
• Responsible for clear and consistent communications between shifts.
• Responsible for the continuous operation of production equipment, helping Setup Technician when necessary to verify all required documentation, sample parts, production inventory, and material has been moved to the press.
• Responsible for inventory control and physical inventory counting.
• Responsible to carry out duties as assigned by production supervisor.
• Responsible for production reject percentage.
• Responsible for correct paperwork and data entry related to job orders and inventory control.
• Responsible for accurate production counts.
• Overall shop security and safety.
