Position Summary:
Operation and monitoring of various chemical processes for the manufacture of high purity chemicals used in the semiconductor and allied industries.
Record operating process data in an accurate, concise and neat manner. Statistical process control charting of critical process variables.
Maintain and troubleshoot plant equipment. Perform minor plant maintenance functions as required, i.e., valve replacements and rebuilding, tubing/piping replacement, general pump maintenance and other general equipment maintenance.
Collect samples for quality assurance testing and perform various routine chemical analysis.
Maintain operations inventories, i.e., spare and replacement parts, raw materials and finished products.
Position Requirements:
High school graduate. Some math, chemistry or science courses desirable.
Prior pilot plant or production plant experience in the chemical, petroleum, food processing, or pharmaceutical industries recommended.
Prior experience with hazardous chemicals, such as air sensitive, flammable, reactive and corrosive materials, is useful.
Prior safety training in first aid, CPR, Hazmat, Emergency response is useful.Conscientious and common sense attitude toward safety due to position requirements of handling a variety of hazardous materials is required.
Good mechanical aptitude and hands on capability is required.
Strong, able-bodied person. Must be able to lift 50 to 80 lb.
Some knowledge of use of a personal computer and word processing/spreadsheet software is helpful but not required.
Production is run on a 24 hour 7 day/week basis. Rotating 12 hour shift work is required.
