Shipping Associate - Thornton, CO

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Prepares orders for shipment, according to sales orders.
• Records shipping documentation.
• Performs special projects as needed. 
• Coordinates with Customer Service for exception and emergency orders.
• Communicate with Team Leader inventory shortages and delays. 
• Fills in for Manifest Clerk as needed.
• Participates in inventory counting and cycle counts as needed.
• Follows company standards to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory rules & standards including:  GMP, Quality and Organic Standards, OSHA, and FDA.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean at all times.
• Performs all related duties as required.  Will have training and be compliant in the company’s SQF, GMP, HACCP, FDA, OSHA policies and procedures as well as any local/state/federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate mechanical equipment, including pallet jack, tape machine(s), cardboard shredding machine.
• Good math skills
• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products within the shipping area.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of position such as standing and walking, bending and stooping for 8-10 hours daily in addition to the ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout work day.
• Must demonstrate flexibility to meet quickly changing production schedules and job assignments, without close supervision. 
• Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
• Computer skills or experience working with purchase/packing orders in a warehouse environment a plus.
