Shipping Coordinator - Erie, CO

 Essential Job Functions:

We are looking for Logistics Coordinator who will work in our shipping department processing the shipping of goods. This person will be responsible for making sure orders are packaged correctly, and documentation is created accurately.

Essential Job Requirements:

• Package, and ship goods both international and domestic, build crates and assemble boxes. Package manufactured products using spacers, fillers and protective padding. Must know how to process UPS, Fedex, DHL, etc., International Brokerage, Bill of Lading and Commercial Invoices.

• Ensure accuracy of all orders being shipped

• Create and maintain all necessary shipping documentation for orders (commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origins, etc.)

• Manages activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines and customer expectations are met

• Communicate effectively with freight forwarders and shipping companies in order to maintain low cost and high quality service

• Use software and other methods to route, create, track, and prioritize outgoing shipments

• Communicate effectively with other internal departments regarding the status of shipments and priorities

• Responsible for keeping the warehouse area clean and organized.

Operate Forklift

Qualifications:

• Experienced in international shipping methods, including creating documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificate of origins, etc.

• Effective communication skills, both written and oral are required.

• Strong organization skills required. Must be detail oriented.

• Must be a continual learner with desire to grow professionally.

• Strong work ethic, proactive, team player, and results-orientation required.

• Talent for recognizing the opportunities for process improvement in those connections

• Decision making ability, problem-solving skills, ability to prioritize, procedural mindset

• Must be a people person.

Experience: Minimum of 2 year of experience in shipping

Physical Requirements: Must possess the ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend and reach each day.
