Installer - 1st Shift - Inver Grove Heights, MN

Corporate Management Groups iscurrently hiring for a Delivery and Installer position at our Inver GroveHeights, MN location.

Shift:1^st shift / Monday – Friday / 9:00AM – 5:30PM

Pay: $15.00 perhour

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility is to installcommercial and domestic washers and dryers in apartment complex laundryrooms/apartments in addition to college residence halls, laundry mats andOn-Premise laundry facilities. The process will include refurbishing usedequipment or uncrating brand-new machines, preparing the machines, delivery andinstallation.

Doing so in a timely andprofessional manner is expected. Also, equipment should look appealing whenfinished installing; therefore, using hand tools to level machines, adjustdoors, etc. is necessary. Plumbing tools are necessary as well, in order toconnect water pipes to washing machines. When finished installing, it isessential to observe the complete cycle of the automatic washers and dryers andmake proper adjustments to meet standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Perform all duties as assigned bymanager/supervisor

·        Refurbishing used laundry equipment

·        Loading and unloading laundryequipment from a box truck

·        Installing laundry equipment to meetspecific standards

·        Accurately complete installationpaperwork

·        Maintain and account for all keys,tools, equipment, and materials

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be willing to undergo an E-Verify, pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, MVR check, credit check, and background check.
• Must be willing to obtain a General DOT card
• Safety Protocol
  • Stop any observed unsafe acts, and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.

Qualifications:

Education Required:

·        Graduation from High School isrequired.

Experience Required:

·        1 year of field experience in thelaundry business, or previous electrical, mechanical experience/educationpreferred.

Skills Required:

To perform this job successfully, anindividual must have basic mechanical, problem solving, and oral/writtencommunication skills. A technician must have the discipline to work with littlesupervision and ability to handle several projects simultaneously. Computerexperience including the use of e-mail, internet, ability to navigate a partslookup software package and general ability to read diagrams. The individualmust be able to lift machines, with a dolly, lift and carry up to 100lbswithout the assistance of another person and be able to stand/sit for most ofan eight-hour shift. Position requires occasional overnight travel, must beable to pass a drug test, have a good driving record and dependabletransportation to and from work frequent lifting, walking, bending, twisting,reaching, squatting, and driving.
