Maintenance Technician - Northglenn, CO

ESSENTIAL
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include
travel requirements)
- Maintains close relationship with Maintenance Manager, other
Maintenance Technicians, Production, Quality Control and Shipping
department.
- Able to prepare for and complete work order tasks assigned.
- Knowledge and ability to learn troubleshoot/repair all machinery and
equipment in the plant, this includes electrical and mechanical.
- Ability to learn metering and testing equipment used in
troubleshooting.
- Ability to use all power and hand tools needed to perform all tasks
assigned to a Q2 Maintenance Technician.
- Determines and maintains accuracy of all gauges, monitors, sensors
and flow meters used in Production, Building and Grounds, Fire prevention
and Security systems.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and instruct Q1 maintenance
worker.
- Ability to install and maintain all equipment and machinery in and
around the plant.
- Travel to other locations for meetings, training or work as needed.
- Regular, consistent physical attendance
- Ability to change and/or rotate shifts on an as needed basis
EDUCATION
and/or EXPERIENCE (include
Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations required)
- Minimum High school diploma or GED; some
college preferred
- Minimum two (2) years Industrial
Electrical/Mechanical experience
- Training in machinery, control systems
- Include good working knowledge of D.C. motor
controllers, A.C. inverters, PLC’s
- Ability to perform all tasks of a Q3, but under
the supervision of a Q3 Technician
OTHER
SKILLS AND ABILITIES (include
computer, language, mathematical, and analytical skills required)
- Strong ability to use mathematical concepts as
required in performing job duties, such as fractions, percentages, ratios,
etc.
- Ability to effectively read, write and
interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and
procedural manuals.
- Ability to complete routine reports and
correspondence.
- Ability to reason. Ability to apply commonsense understanding
to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to solve problems involving
several variables.
- Must be PC literate and be able to use Microsoft
Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to communicate clearly (both orally and
written) to personnel from a variety of functional areas.
- Strong organizational skills with high
attention to detail.
PHYSICAL
DEMANDS
- Any
other work related duties that may be assigned by the supervisor that may
include heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs.), deep bending, climbing, sweeping,
shoveling and other cleanup tasks.
