Maintenance Mechanic B
Based on skill set.
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Wednesday and Thursday
Preventative Maintenance, Maintenance repair & construction, and Boiler operation.
Follow all GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all company, customer, regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements to produce safe quality food.
Maintain Plant Equipment.
Modify equipment for improvement.
Identify and order parts.
Able to learn machines for corrective, emergency, and preventative maintenance for either processing or packing.
Operate boilers, air compressors, air dryers, HVAC.
Must have Class B License for boiler operations.
Apply flow of operations into troubleshooting and repair of plant systems.
Performs mechanical/electrical troubleshooting, welding, fabrication for sheet metal.
Knowledgeable in rigging for safety of equipment and employees, vendors, machinery and related parts, and related parts, hand tools, lawn maintenance, and equipment usage.
Able to read mechanical/electrical print and application.
Knowledgeable in computer skills for PLC and logistic controls.
Apply knowledge to train new employees.
Able to work with outside vendors and contractors.
Preform other duties as needed.
Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to loud, hot, wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is required to climb ladders and stairs and wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) as required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, hear, walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift 55 lb. bags and occasionally more.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent experience, technical or vocational school education, junior college/2 year collage training or equivalent experience.
Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Perform work independently as required and time management skills.
