Facility Maintenance Assistant - Lakewood, CO
POSITION SUMMARY:
Will perform daily cleaning and maintenance duties to support Facilities maintenance for common areas (internal and external), support Maintenance when general help or assistance is needed. On occasion, may be asked to do various duties as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Follow daily, weekly, monthly Janitorial Plan for maintenance of Facility, such as:
- Emptying trash and recycle containers
- Refilling soap, paper towel and toilet dispensers
- Cleaning shop hand-washing sinks
- Mopping lunchroom, common hall and all restroom floors
- Wiping down break room tables, chairs, and counters with disinfectant wipes
- Sweeping aisles throughout shop
- Sweeping outside parking lot area, keeping clean of pine needles, trash, and debris
- Emptying all outside trash/cigarette containers
- Washing and cleaning all windows (internal and external)
- Shoveling snow or spreading ice melt as needed for outside walk areas and shipping ramp
- Outside maintenance: Mow, trim, rake and/or weed outside areas as needed
Assist Facilities Maintenance Lead or Supervisor when asked for various tasks as needed (such as helping repair and clean machinery).
May be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- High School Education or equivalent or 1 year or more work experience
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions furnished in English in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules or maintenance instructions and comply with them
- Ability to add or subtract using whole numbers
- The employee is required to: stand, walk, push, pull, carry, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
- exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
- exert 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or
- exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
The employee is subject to occasional:
- High noise levels from operating machines
- Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts
- Breathing fumes, dust and mist
- Skin exposure to oils and cutting fluid
